Wecome to the Hotel Alpenrose Wengen – a family affair since 1881

Our hotel bar is open every day from 4pm to 10pm. We offer a great selection of Whisky and Gin. Try out one of our delicious cocktails.

In the summer you can enjoy a drink in our hotel garden with commanding views of the valley of Lauterbrunnen and the surrounding mountains. Please order at our reception desk.

With pleasure we will wash your laundry for a small fee. You will find the price list in the cupboard in your room.

Please put your clothes on the bed, in the bag left for this purpose with a form completed by 10am on Monday, Tuesday or Friday.

The housekeeping department will do your laundry in 2 days.

The Hotel cannot be held responsible for damage, shrinkage or discoloration.

There is also a laundromat in the village centre (behind Hotel Silberhorn) for your use.

Please ask for our list of library books at the reception.

You may leave your luggage at the reception. The Hotel is not liable for loss or damage.

Wengen is car free!

You can drive to Lauterbrunnen and park your car in the parking next to the train station. We recommend that you book your parking slot well in advance (reservation parking). A mountain cogwheel train will bring you to Wengen every 30 minutes. In Wengen our porter will meet you and bring you to the hotel.

Well trained dogs are welcome in our hotel, there is a charge of Sfr. 10.- per day (without food). Please understand that dogs are not allowed into our dining room.

We do not accept pets (except dogs) in our Hotel and thank you for your understanding.

For small injuries we can help you at the reception.

There is no pharmacy in Wengen, the next one is located in Grindelwald or Interlaken.

Just round the corner from our hotel you will find a beautiful new playground called Acher Playground.

There is also a playground in the village centre of Wengen and up on Männlichen Mountain.

Our reception desk is at your disposal from 8am to 12am and from 1:30pm to 9:30pm. If you leave early in the morning we kindly ask you to settle your bill the evening before after dinner.

Our shoe cleaning machines are located on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor.

Our shuttlebus will take you to the station every morning between 8:00 and 11:30 am.

Please ask for the porter at the Reception.

With pleasure our porter will meet you upon your arrival at Wengen train station to help you with your luggage and upon your departure bring you to the train station.

You can leave your skis free of charge at the sport shop „Central Sport“ just next to the Männlichen cable car station. The voucher is available at the reception desk.

Ski- and skiboot parking - free of charge at Central Sport Wengen, next to the cable car station Männlichen.

Ski/boot hire - at a small reduction from Central Sport Wengen

Please request both vouchers on your arrival at the hotel.

There is a smoking ban for the entire hotel including balconies. Smoking is allowed in front of the hotel.

Stamps are availlable at the front desk.

You can drink our tap water from your room.

There is a free tea and coffee machine in the hotel lobby that you can use 24h a day.
